Your personal data is very important both to you and Future.Travel. All information you provide is treated with care and sensitivity. Your personal details can be used in the way described in this privacy statement.

1.1 Disclosure of personal details to third parties

Future.Travel will not disclose personal information to third parties, unless required for performing services or required by legal provisions. Our suppliers, particularly US carriers, are increasingly required to provide ‘local’ authorities, eg. customs and immigration authorities the personal data and travel details of customers. Disclosure of this information is provided for your safety. The necessity stated above is a responsibility and activity of the supplier. If you have any objection to this, you should advise this prior to booking. Future.Travel reserves the right to provide details to the competent authorities on any matter considered/deemed/suspected to involve fraud, payment irregularities, or a user intentionally causes damage to the company or suppliers through the use of the Future.Travel or associated websites. 

1.2 Use of our website and your personal profile

Our website can be consulted casually to research and book flights and hotels. When you, book a trip, want to request the newsletter, or wish to contact us by email form, we will ask you for your personal details. Your personal profile can be used to provide saved details to assist in booking and ticketing.

1.3 Profile 

Future.Travel can save a personal and/or corporate profile which is secured by a login name and password. Your profile offers extra convenience when making bookings. Login name and passwords are confidential and you should not disclose these to third parties in order to prevent others from accessing your personal details.

1.4 Blogs/Newsletters/Tweets/Alerts

You may subscribe to our newsletter/blogs/Tweets/Alerts if you wish. As a customer who has purchased a ticket/accommodation from Future.Travel you are automatically enrolled in our newsletter service. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you may cancel your newsletter subscription at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the newsletter or sending us an email to our support team.

1.5 What personal details do we collect?

In order to create a correct booking for your trip, you are required enter your personal details and details of travel companions on the same itinerary using the same booking transaction. Disclosing the details of your travel companions, you have confirmed that you are authorised in your capacity as booking client to do so.

 

Future.Travel may collect the following data in regard to your bookings: 

  1. Full name(s) as they appear on the passport used for ticketing, including any initials, full first name, middle name and surname;
  2. Passport numbers/ID Card/Driver License, expiry dates, and issuing authorities;
  3. Gender and birth date;
  4. Address, postcode, city, country. You may provide a different invoice or shipping address for travel documents;
  5. Phone number, fax number, mobile phone number, emergency numbers, and corporate travel manager in case of corporate accounts;
  6. Email address;
  7. Personal health information considered necessary for correct processing of your trip;
  8. Personal preferences provided voluntarily and necessary for correct booking of and delivery of your trip. This may include customer account numbers of third parties (such as a frequent flyer number or corporate suppliers), allowing you to qualify for privileges or other benefits attached to this;
  9. Your computer's IP address, to prevent misuse and fraud. 

Credit card or bank account details are not collected or stored by Future.Travel. Payment transactions are processed via the secured services of CyberSource, a Visa company.

 

1.6 Transfer of Information

If it is necessary to transfer your data for the purpose of completing your booking we will endeavor to ensure that personal data is processed in accordance with this privacy policy and as permitted/ required by law. 

1.7 Visitor’s registration and ‘cookies’

The Future.Travel website uses internet system cookies in order to track our visitors’ internet behaviour on our site. The cookie is saved on your computer and may store your preferences from our website. Cookies allow you to quickly look up the required information on our website or use your personal profile environmental settings.  also uses cookies to provide personalized offers from other websites. Visitors to the website and users are free to reject use of cookies by adjusting their browser settings. 

1.8 Protection of personal details

To safeguard the privacy of your details on our website we use a variety of security protocols and systems. Personal data provided via our website when making or completing a booking, is secured by means of Secure Socket Layers (SSL). In addition, our systems are protected by firewalls to prevent unauthorised access. Credit card or bank account details are not collected or stored by Future.Travel. Payment transactions are processed via the secured services of CyberSource, a Visa company.

1.9 Payments

Credit card payments made through our website are processed by CyberSource, a Visa company. CyberSource uses the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security protocol. As part of this, your credit card details are transmitted in encrypted format to the credit card company. The messages that CyberSource sends to your bank are all encrypted as well. Your credit card details will not be disclosed to Future.Travel.

This website contains references to other websites. Future.Travel is not responsible for the privacy policies of these websites.

1.11 Access to personal/corporate details via your online profile

You may access and delete personal details in your Future.Travel profile by logging on to the Future.Travel website. You can also request us to remove your personal details from our systems, as allowed under statutory and fiscal regulations. Please contact the Customer Services department for this extended request.

1.12 Third party vendors on Future.Travel

Third party vendors, like Google, Bing, Amazon, etc, advertise via the Internet and capture visit details. Future.Travel optimises the website and ad campaigns based prior visits to our website by users via use of information from third party vendors.

Users may opt out of a third party vendor's use of cookies by visiting a third party advertisers opt-out pages.

Future.Travel utilises reports from users interactions with our ads and website in conjunction with Google Analytics, DoubleClick, or similar services for advertisers to monitor activity for the Future.Travel website and advertising efforts.

Changes to the way Future.Travel may collect, process, and use your personal details, will be described in future versions of this Privacy Statement.
